They do not shed very much and have been referred to as hypoallergenic, which makes them good for people who are allergic to dogs. Yorkshire Terriers are fun and energetic, but do not require too much exercise because of their small size. This breed does tend to bark a lot, so keep that in mind if you live in an apartment or townhouse.
